Everything! Hospitality was fantastic, Phil could not have been more helpful, he was extremely thoughtful and very informative on the local area and the farm. We had tea/biscuits and a roaring log fire in the lounge on arrival and we also able to bring our elderly parents in for afternoon tea on one of the days of our stay. The bedroom was amazing, huge comfortable bed and the biggest bathroom we have ever seen with a huge bath and rainfall shower. The biomass fired heating system ensured a very cosy room and lots of hot water. Breakfast was also excellent. Fresh fruits, yoghurt and cereals, fruit juice and coffee and also a full English breakfast or variation of and toast with jam/marmalades. Everything was cooked beautifully and the sausages were locally sourced. It was all delicious. We chose this venue as it was dog friendly and close to my parents and given the wonderful experience and excellent value for money we certainly plan to return.

Hardly dare say this but this place is truly peaceful, tranquil and amazing. You can relax as soon as you get here with the personal greeting, cup of very fresh tasting tea in sweet old china, with lots of flavour and just the whole place is very pleasing. We have stayed here before and could not wait to come again. It is a lovely grand old building with very tastefully furnished rooms. The huge bath is divine to aching bones after hard drives in our Carver Ones. :) All the food is locally sourced from their own gardens and animals and you just cant get fresher foods than these. Fresh strawberries. Own made on site jam not some mass produced stuff with their name on it, this is the real thing. You could be the new king staying here. The bed is exceptionally comfy so you dont want to get out of it. Clean crisp white sheets and pillows that negate the need to bring your own. Its lovely and we will be coming back here again.

A fabulous Georgian home which was owned by the present owner and previously her mother. It is very much lived in and elegantly furnished. You get to enjoy the house and the extensive grounds. The breakfast is superb. The host welcomes you into her home as if you are a friend and she wants you to enjoy it. It is truly an exceptional experience. We have stayed at so many hotels which have disappointed on so many levels. This was a fabulous experience. Our little Westie was made most welcome. We cannot recommend this experience strongly enough. Nick and Debby Hughes

Beautiful property, period features and so many antiques. Every room was very impressive. Most comfortable bed ever experienced in a hotel. The grounds were well maintained and ideal for my dog, Peggy. The welcome we received from our host Phil including a tray of tea, a chat about our needs, he was genuinely interested in us as guests, we immediately relaxed in such beautiful surroundings. Phil also cooked a breakfast to die for…at a time convenient to us. Would recommend this hotel to friends & family. Thank you Phil.

Everything! Christine was a charming hostess who did everything possible to make you feel welcome at her home. The individual rooms were charming, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was amazing with individual orders wonderfully catered for and additional extras such as bowls of fruit and special jams. There was so much character to the house and a very personal touch to our visit. A reservation for dinner at an Italian restaurant nearby was kindly made by Christine and we enjoyed a very good meal.
